Overview
A rate card is a creator's price list for paid work. It sets out flat fees by deliverable, for example a single in-feed video, a LIVE appearance, a story set, or a bundle of posts.
On TikTok Shop, rate cards sit alongside affiliate commission. Some creators work commission-only, some charge a flat fee, and many high-value creators want both a fee and a commission.
How it works
A creator quotes a fee per deliverable based on their audience size, engagement, niche, and usage terms. Brands negotiate from that starting point, often trading a lower flat fee for higher commission or a longer commitment.
Fees usually rise with exclusivity, paid usage rights (running the content as an ad), and turnaround speed.
Why it matters
Rate cards make creator budgeting predictable, but a flat fee alone tells you nothing about return. A creator is only worth their rate if the attributed GMV and content usage justify it.
The brands that spend well pair a fee with performance, so the creator has a reason to keep selling after the post goes live rather than collecting a one-time check.
Common benchmarks
Creator fees vary enormously by audience size, niche, and deliverable, so treat any range as directional. Rough flat-fee bands per in-feed video by follower tier:
- Nano (1K-10K)$0-100 or commission-only
- Micro (10K-100K)$100-500
- Mid (100K-500K)$500-2,000
- Macro (500K+)$2,000+
These ranges depend on your monthly TikTok Shop GMV tier, ad and sample budget, SKU mix, category, and how aggressively you coach the program. Treat them as a band, not a guarantee.
How brands use it
Brands collect rate cards during outreach, then structure deals that mix a modest fee with affiliate commission so the creator is paid to show up and rewarded for what they sell.
How Hubfluence supports this workflow
Hubfluence keeps each creator's terms, including fees and commission, in one CRM record, so you can compare rate cards against the GMV a creator actually drives and negotiate from real performance.
