TikTok Shop is TikTok's native ecommerce platform. It lets users discover and buy products directly inside the app, through creator videos, LIVE shopping, product showcases, and a shop tab, without ever leaving TikTok.
It is the clearest example of social commerce at scale, and its engine is creators: most sales come from affiliates posting shoppable content to their own audiences.
How it works
Brands register as sellers, list products in Seller Center, and set up affiliate offers. Creators promote those products and earn commission, TikTok handles checkout, and orders are fulfilled by the seller or through Fulfilled by TikTok.
Why it matters
TikTok Shop collapses discovery and purchase into one moment, which is why impulse-friendly categories grow so fast on it. For brands, the opportunity and the challenge are the same: success depends on recruiting and managing creators well.
