TikTok Shop Payment Methods: How to Pay and Get Paid.

Every payment method TikTok Shop accepts for buyers, plus how sellers and creators get paid, payout timing, and the fees to expect.

Quick answer

TikTok Shop accepts credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and TikTok gift-card balance. In some regions it also supports Klarna or Afterpay for buy-now-pay-later. Card and digital wallet payments are processed securely inside the app.

Sellers and creators are paid out to a linked bank account. Payments settle after the order passes the return window, typically within a few days of delivery, and land in the bank on a regular payout schedule. TikTok Shop does not accept cash on delivery in the US.

Is it safe to enter card details on TikTok Shop?

Paying with a credit card or a digital wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal) adds a second layer of protection, because those providers offer their own dispute and chargeback processes on top of TikTok's. How sellers get paid on TikTok Shop

Sellers connect a bank account in Seller Center. TikTok Shop collects the buyer's payment, holds it until the order clears, then releases funds on a payout schedule.

  • Settlement trigger. Funds for an order become eligible after it is delivered and the return window has passed, usually within a few days of delivery.
  • Payout cadence. Cleared funds are transferred to the linked bank account on a regular schedule, typically within a few business days of settlement.
  • Fees come out first. The platform referral fee and any transaction fee are deducted before payout. See the TikTok Shop seller fees breakdown.

How creators and affiliates get paid

TikTok Shop affiliates earn a commission on each sale they drive. Commission is calculated after the buyer's return window closes, so a return removes the commission for that order.

  • Where it lands. Affiliate earnings accrue in the TikTok Shop creator dashboard and pay out to a linked bank account or PayPal, depending on region.
  • Timing. Commission is released after the order is confirmed and the return window ends, then paid on the creator payout schedule.
  • Rates. Sellers set commission per product. See typical ranges in the TikTok Shop commission benchmarks.

Common payment problems and fixes

  • Payment declined. Usually a bank fraud filter on a first-time merchant. Confirm the purchase in your banking app, or switch to a digital wallet.
  • Address mismatch. The billing address must match your card on file. Correct it in the payment screen.
  • Wallet not showing. Apple Pay and Google Pay only appear if a card is set up in the wallet and the device supports it.
  • Refund timing. Approved refunds return to the original payment method, typically within 3 to 10 business days depending on your bank.
