Rule 2: AI skips the middle of your content

Run the exact same prompt thousands of times across different parts of the day, and accuracy takes a real hit during peak usage windows — roughly 9 AM to 5 PM in whatever time zone most of the platform's users sit in (usually US Eastern). The reason is pretty mundane. When the servers are saturated, your prompt gets routed through a faster, smaller, less accurate model path. You're basically getting the express-lane answer instead of the full one.
If your brand's AI search team is testing prompts during business hours, your data is contaminated. If you have VAs producing content with AI tools, schedule that work for off-peak hours (early morning ET, late evening ET, or weekends). And if you're running automation that pulls AI-generated content, time the cron jobs to off-peak windows.

If you aren't in Google Merchant Center with optimized product feeds, structured data, and offer information by mid-2026, you'll lose the share of commerce that flows through UCP entirely. There's no recovery from "Google decided to route shoppers through a system you aren't part of."
AI-generated landing pages. Filed Google patents indicate that when a user's intent is clear but no existing site serves it well, Google will generate a custom landing page using AI. The implication: if your product pages aren't structured well enough for the AI to use, Google will generate a synthesized version of your offer (or a competitor's offer) and serve that instead.
